I recently attended a variety concert which was performed for residents of Winsford in Cheshire. On the bill for this afternoon concert was a lady called Caroline Fields. Caroline had contacted me a few weeks earlier to tell me of an exciting venture which she is just beginning to undertake. She had just performed her first concert in the forthcoming UK tour featuring the story and songs of 'Our Gracie'.  Caroline's excitement and the energy which she puts into her work are contagious and after hearing her performance in Winsford, I can only look forward to the next time I see her perform.  Following her successful completion of 180 performances of her one-woman show, 'The Best Of  Joyce Grenfell", Caroline's agent is now taking bookings for her new venture.  It promises to be extremely popular and I am sure, successful. I found Caroline to be talented, caring and very genuine and I heartily recommend her intention to tell the story of Gracie Fields in words and song across the United Kingdom.
